About

Name: Beth

Age: Wouldn’t you like to know?

Marital Status: Single

Profession: Attorney

Where I live: Syracuse, NY.

Pets: Nanook a/k/a Nana a/k/a Nookie a/k/a Extra Spot. Nanook is a strange cat. She loves dogs, trucks, biting, and drinking her water from a fountain. She also seems to think that she is part dog since she is rather fond of herding, especially the part that involves nipping at the heels! This spotted kitty also doesn’t jump [white kitties don't jump!]. I am currently resisting her requests for a puppy and intend to start her off slowly with fish, but only once the dining room is painted.

Hobbies: Stained glass, reading, music, gardening, remodelling my house, an addiction to Netflix, pretending my housework doesn’t exist.

Favorite Authors: In no order – Steven Erikson, Janny Wurtz, Robin Hobb, Michelle West, Kristin Britain Storm Constantine, George R.R. Martin, John Marco, Eoin Colfer, Greg Keyes, and many more. In the last few years, I have started reading a lot of military fantasy, particularly the gory kind.

Favorite Bands: I mostly listen to alternative music. I tend to listen to stuff for a while then move on to something else. I never seem to have a “favorite: band, more like a favorite at the moment. Latest obsessions: Arctic Monkeys, The Klaxons, Kaiser Chiefs, The Killers, Three Doors Down, Angels & Airwaves, Linkin Park, and many, many, many more.

Websites: I have two. The first is a photoalbum that has not been updated in a while since I ran out of server space and do not feel like buying more, or editing or deleting any pictures. www.picturetrail.com/klondike

The second is a stained glass forum some friends and I recently created, called The Art Glass Factory. http://theartglassfactory.com/index.php

Why am I doing this? I decided sometime last winter that I maybe I would create a blog to document my home remodelling. What stopped me was my own laziness at the time, since I hate doing trim painting and that is what was on the agenda, and the fact that I could not find a blogging host that I liked. The biggest failed to impress me, primarily because you have to join before you get any details and it crashed my browser every time I looked at it. Recently, someone sent me a link to a blog on WordPress and my interest was peaked again. While I do not intend to make this solely about my adventures with my hammer and power drill, I am sure it will turn up from time to time.
